JI Jianxun, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Humanities at Shanghai Normal University, Director of the Center for International Comparative Literature at Shanghai Normal University (a Chinese National Key Discipline), Editor-in-Chief of the journal International Comparative Literature (ICL), and Chief Expert of the Shanghai First-Class Undergraduate Course "The History of Comparative Literature in China"

He is also Council Member of the Chinese Comparative Literature Association, Executive Council Member of the Chinese Association for Comparative Literature Teaching and Research, and Director of the Shanghai Comparative Literature Association  Young Member Committee, etc.

 

Ⅲ.Research directions and achievements.

Prof. JI has long been engaged in the research of comparative literature, theology, and history of Sino- foreign exchanges, etc. He has recently presided over more than a dozen research projects, including projects supported by National Social Science Foundation “Sino-Western Studies on the Views of God in the Late Ming Dynasty” (14BZJ001), “Research on the Overall Impact of Christianity in China’s Cultural Development in the Ming and Qing Dynasties” (21AZJ003), and   the Shanghai Pujiang Talents Plan Project “Collation of and Research on the Writings of Yan Mo, a Comparative Scripture Scholar in the Early Qing Dynasty” (17PJC080). His representative works include but are not limited to Proving God in China: A Comparative Study of the Views of God in the Age of Early Globalization and A Critical Overview of Comparative Literature Studies in Modern China, etc. He has also published extensively on pertinent topics.
